Eagle-Eyed

This is an ad, obviously, for a teleradiology service called EagleEye Radiology. My Eagle-Eyed friend, Mike Cannavo, the One and Only PACSMan, noticed that the EagleEye teleradiologist is doing his teleradiology from film. Of course, the EagleEye teleradiologist also has a stethescope, so maybe he's a little confused overall.

Someone could make a killing with an ad agency that actually understands medical products and services.

ADDENDUM

Reader Mike O. spotted the intrepid "radiologist" above in a few more stock photos from iStockPhoto.com:

Ah, the captions that come to mind. . . "Why is my pee blue?" "Who's been screwing with my Tinkertoy?"

I'm not sure why EagleEye just didn't use the photos of their own docs. . . although we radiologists usually do like to remain in the dark.

I think you are misreading the image. I think it means don't let this stethoscope guy read a film someone printed at night, send them to Eagle Eye and let a real Radiologist do it.

Or, it says film is better than reading on AGFA (which is what they use).

Checkout their website homepage --- lots of images on a litebox......they could stand to invest in taking a digital camera to their AGFA workstation. Granted, there's not a lot of Getty images for PACS, but film is clearly not their business. Good recommendations Dalai!

They sure had enough sense to hire some babes to cover their booth at Roentgen Ray last year......

Wow, that guy is multi-talented: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-4402639-research-and-development.php

istockphoto.com really needs some updated radiology photos. Any aspiring photographers out there?

Maybe I'll take my good camera next time I go to a customer site. I recognized the cheezy photo because I use them too for my web site.

The second part of "remain in the dark" is "and be feed bullsh&t" so.... Remember that...

As to why his pee is blue? Let's see- green and yellow makes blue..or is it blue and yellow makes green..I know when you eat black jelly beans it makes "waste products" green..So much to learn...

Time to start the countdown clock again...You now have a new calling- being a stock photograph subject. You at least LOOK like a radiologist.
